🖥️ Office Edition: Things you can do between PAT Tests to keep your workplace equipment safe, compliant, and running smoothly! ☎️
👍🏼 Use extension leads appropriately, don't overload them or plug one into another
👍🏼 Use cable protectors or trunking to avoid damage and trip hazards
👍🏼 Encourage staff to carry out visual inspections of their working area, looking out for cracked plugs and frayed cables
👍🏼 Turn off non-essential equipment when not being used, and all other electronic equipment at the end of the working day
👍🏼 Label faulty equipment, unplug it and remove it altogether to prevent injury and damage
👍🏼 Maintain a basic log of incidents or faults, especially when a lot of equipment is being used frequently
